Jabodebek Light Rapid Transit (LRT)
The Jabodebek Light Rapid Transit (LRT) represents one of Indonesia’s most ambitious public transportation developments, designed to connect the greater Jakarta area — Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, and Bekasi — with a fast, efficient, and eco-friendly rail system. Officially inaugurated in 2023, the Jabodebek LRT was developed by PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk and operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) as part of the government’s initiative to improve urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion.
The LRT spans 44 kilometers and includes 18 stations, integrating seamlessly with other transport systems such as the MRT and commuter lines. Built with advanced technology and modern design, it stands as a symbol of Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure and smart-city innovation.

Heavy-Duty Manhole Covers for Urban Rail System
Infiniferro supplied a range of heavy-duty and medium-duty ductile iron manhole covers for the Jabodebek LRT project. These include sizes:

Each manhole cover is designed to meet specific load and operational requirements across the LRT’s depot and track facilities.
Manhole covers are an essential component of the LRT’s infrastructure, providing access to drainage systems, electrical conduits, and underground utilities. In high-traffic areas like train depots and track zones, these covers must withstand constant vibration, heavy mechanical loads, and exposure to harsh weather conditions.
Infiniferro’s ductile iron covers were selected for their exceptional strength, dimensional precision, and resistance to corrosion. Their heavy-duty rating ensures they can endure the demanding loads of maintenance vehicles and equipment without deformation, maintaining a safe and stable surface over time.

All products supplied by Infiniferro for the Jabodebek LRT project were manufactured under ISO 9001-certified processes, ensuring strict quality control from casting to final inspection.
The use of ductile iron (spheroidal graphite iron) provides a unique combination of toughness, elasticity, and resistance to fatigue — making it ideal for long-term infrastructure use. Each manhole cover is equipped with anti-slip textures and precisely machined locking mechanisms, preventing movement or noise under train-induced vibrations.
In addition, protective coatings were applied to prevent oxidation and extend service life, especially in outdoor areas exposed to Jakarta’s tropical humidity. The result is a set of products that deliver maximum performance with minimal maintenance, reducing operational downtime and total lifecycle costs.
